New publication on SCAPE in Nature Biomedical Engineering! Introducing MediSCAPE for high-speed in-situ acquisition of volumetric histological images of living tissue

Histological examinations typically require the excision of tissue, followed by its fixation, slicing, staining, mounting and imaging, with timeframes ranging from minutes to days. This process may remove functional tissue, may miss abnormalities through under-sampling, prevents rapid decision-making, and increases costs.

Congrats Beth Malan on her NSF fellowship!

Beth Malan, a second-year biomedical engineering PhD student in the lab, has been awarded a Graduate Research Fellowship by the National Science Foundation.

Welcome Bahar, Fatema, and Mary Claire!

We are welcoming three new members to the lab!

Somayeh (Bahar) Shahsavarani is a postdoc joining us from the University of Illinois and will be working on a joint project with the NIH under our Resting State RF1 Grant. 

Fatema Lodgher is joining us as a research staff assistant after completing her Master's in biomedical engineering at Columbia University. She will be working on a project under our Resting State RF1 Grant.
